Dr. Seuss and Longfellow’s Birthday: Monday, 3/2/15

We will be celebrating Longfellow’s Birthday and Dr. Seuss Day on Monday, March 2nd.
From 9 to 10 a.m. the entire school will have a “Reading Hour” with parents coming in to read books to the students.
* Parents, please coordinate with your Room Parent or Teacher. Bring in your favorite Dr. Seuss book to read to your child’s class! For more information and ideas, please see the Read Across America official recommendations for Dr. Seuss Day.

At lunch, the students will celebrate Henry Wadsworth Longfellow with Cupcakes!
Did you know? He was famous for his 1860 historical poem, “Paul Revere’s Ride.”
He was also an educator, he taught at both Bowdoin College and Harvard College.
We look forward to parent involvement on this fun day at school and encourage parents to read Dr. Seuss books to your children at home that night!

Looking forward to reading with you all on Monday!
