You are invited to the first ‘Baile de Longfellow,’ a community dance for Longfellow students and their families. Admission is FREE for this on-campus family event. Please note that all students attending this event must be accompanied by an adult. This is not a drop-off event and is open only to the Longfellow Community.
No tickets are necessary to enter the event; we will check you in at the gate. Dinner will be available for purchase at a first-come, first-served basis as at all of our events. Snack Bar and Photo Booth will be available, too (CASH only).
Middle School students are invited to work as volunteer ‘staff’ that evening for snack bar shifts and to dance and play games with the younger students. Please contact Carma and Amy if your middle school student is interested: firstname.lastname@example.org

Q: What is ‘El Baile de Longfellow?
A: For years now, parents have been requesting a community dance for our school. Inspired by the ‘Father/Daughter Dance’ done by the YMCA, we wanted to create a similar event, but where ALL members of the family come out and get their boogie on! Dance is this Friday, February 6th from 6-9pm.
Q: What if we did not RSVP, can we still come?
A: YES! We were trying to get RSVP’s to get a head count for food sales. But EVERYONE is invited to this on campus event! Please come!
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The entrance to the dance is FREE
Q: What kind of food will be sold?
A: BRING CASH IF YOU WANT TO EAT! There will be a cash snack bar with hot dogs, pizza, nachos, popcorn, chips, pretzels, candy, drinks etc. There will also be a taco guy servings tacos, rice and beans.
Q: What other merchandise will be sold at the dance?
A: There will be a photo booth (with props) for $2 a strip. We will be selling Longfellow Merchandise including our newest items: Longfellow baseball caps ($15) and Longfellow Travel Coffee Mugs ($15). There will also be assorted glow in the dark merchandise $1 – $5! All merchandise sales are cash or check only!
Q: What time should I get there if I signed up to volunteer?
A: If you signed up to help from the beginning, please arrive no later than 5:30. If you want to help set up, we will be on campus from 3:30 until it begins.
Q: Who should I check in with if I am volunteering?
A: Please check in with Carma, Amy, Brooke or Donna (ask at the front check in for where to find us).
Q: What will the middle school student volunteers be helping with?
A: Middle School students will be working snack bar shifts, photo booth shifts and front check in shifts. We also may want them to ‘help get the party started’ by dancing or playing games with the younger students. They will be assigned an area when they arrive.
Q: What is the attire?
A: Casual to semi formal. Whatever goes! 🙂
